Fort Bridger Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving the town of Fort Bridger and the Bridger Valley in Uinta County, southwestern Wyoming. Owned by Uinta County and in operation since July 1941, it provides an important local airfield for private and business aviation in the region.
Located about 4 miles north of Fort Bridger, the airport sits at an elevation of approximately 7,038 feet. It has two runways: an asphalt runway (4/22) of about 6,404 feet and a shorter turf and dirt runway (7/25) of about 3,520 feet. There is no control tower, and pilots use the airport's published communications and procedures.
The airport lies in a rural part of southwestern Wyoming, roughly 30 miles east of Evanston and within driving distance of the Utah border and Salt Lake City. The nearby Bridger Valley communities of Fort Bridger, Lyman and Mountain View provide lodging, dining and services for travelers.
