Forlì International Airport (FRL)

Forlì International Airport, also known as Luigi Ridolfi Airport, is the airport serving the city of Forlì and the surrounding Romagna area in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. Inaugurated in 1936 and named after the Italian aviator Luigi Ridolfi, the airport reopened for commercial traffic in October 2020 after a period of closure. Located about 4 km from central Forlì, the airport is a compact regional gateway used mainly for domestic flights to Sicily and Sardinia and seasonal international routes to destinations such as Greece and Albania. Its single passenger terminal combines a departures area with eight boarding gates and an arrivals area with baggage reclaim, customs and passport control. The airport is connected to Forlì by local bus line 7, which stops in front of the departures terminal, and by taxi. Forlì railway station is around 4.6 km away, while the A14 motorway and the SS727 bis bypass provide road access from Bologna, Ancona and the wider region.
