About Felts Field

Felts Field is a public general aviation airport in Spokane, Washington, with a history reaching back to the region's earliest days of flight. The site was first used for aviation in 1913 and later became Spokane's municipal airport, handling scheduled airline service through the 1930s and 1940s before commercial traffic moved to Spokane International Airport in 1946. Its 1932 Art Deco terminal building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Located about five miles (8 km) northeast of downtown Spokane along the Spokane River, Felts Field now serves as a general aviation reliever airport for private, charter, corporate and flight-training activity. It operates alongside Spokane International Airport and remains an important part of aviation in eastern Washington and the Inland Northwest.

The airport is easily reached by road from East Rutter Avenue, with downtown Spokane, Spokane Valley and nearby communities only a short drive away. Travelers can continue their journey using taxis, ride-hailing services, private transfers, chauffeur services or rental cars.

On site, visitors will find the Skyway Cafe in the historic terminal, a fixed-base operator with a pilot lounge, flight training, aircraft maintenance and fuel services. The airport's riverfront setting and historic character make it a distinctive and practical gateway for private aviation in the Spokane area.
