Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport, also known as Tulum International Airport, is the main international gateway serving Tulum and the southern Riviera Maya on Mexico's Caribbean coast. Opened on 1 December 2023, it brought domestic and international flights directly to the Tulum area for the first time.
Located approximately 20 km southwest of Tulum town in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, the airport serves both leisure and business travelers visiting Tulum, the surrounding beach and hotel zone, and destinations across the Riviera Maya. Its main passenger terminal has 13 gates and capacity for up to 5.5 million passengers per year, alongside a separate general and executive aviation terminal.
The airport is connected to Tulum and the wider region by Federal Highway 307, ADO bus services, taxis, private transfers, rental cars, and a dedicated Tren Maya station known as Tulum Aeropuerto. This combination makes it possible to continue to Tulum town, the beach zone, Playa del Carmen, Cancún and other parts of the Yucatán Peninsula.
