Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport is the primary airport serving Toledo and the surrounding northwest Ohio region. A joint civil-military facility, it also hosts the Ohio Air National Guard's 180th Fighter Wing and supports general aviation and cargo operations.
The airport was dedicated in October 1954 and began commercial service in January 1955, later being renamed in 2020 to honor Toledo native and retired NASA flight director Gene Kranz. Today it operates a single two-level passenger terminal, with Allegiant Air providing scheduled nonstop flights to destinations in Florida and seasonal service to Arizona.
Located about 13 miles (21 km) west of downtown Toledo, the airport is reached primarily by car via Airport Highway and US-20, with taxis, ride-hailing, rental cars, private transfers, and chauffeur services available for onward travel.
