About Enid Woodring Regional Airport
Enid Woodring Regional Airport is a city-owned, public-use general aviation airport serving Enid and north-central Oklahoma. Dedicated in 1928, it was the first city in Oklahoma to have a municipally funded airport, and it is named for U.S. Army Air Corps aviator Lt. Irvin A. (Bert) Woodring.
Located about 4 miles southeast of downtown Enid and roughly 100 miles from both Oklahoma City and Tulsa, the airport supports general aviation, corporate, charter and military operations. It is regularly used for training flights from Vance Air Force Base and handles a mix of private and business aircraft movements.
A new terminal building opened in 2019, replacing the previous 1970s facility. The terminal houses the fixed-base operator service area, pilot and passenger lounges, a flight planning room, a conference room and the Barnstormers Restaurant.
The airport provides fueling, hangar space, aircraft maintenance, a flight school, aircraft rental and car rental services. With two runways and 24-hour access, it remains a practical gateway for private, corporate and military travel to Enid and the surrounding region.
