About Elk City Regional Business Airport

Elk City Regional Business Airport is a city-owned public-use airport serving Elk City, Oklahoma, and surrounding communities in Beckham County and western Oklahoma. Opened in November 1948, it functions primarily as a general aviation and business airport supporting corporate, private, and light aviation activity in the region.

The airport is located about one mile northeast of downtown Elk City, near Interstate 40 and the historic Route 66 corridor. It features a single concrete runway, 17/35, measuring 5,399 feet by 75 feet, and is served by an AWOS-3 weather reporting system. There is no air traffic control tower, and pilots use a common traffic advisory frequency.

Passenger and pilot facilities include a terminal building, pilot lounge, restrooms, internet access, 100LL and Jet A fuel, aircraft maintenance, hangars, and tiedowns. Car rental, courtesy vehicles, and ground transportation can be arranged, making onward travel to Elk City and the surrounding area straightforward. A new terminal and hangar project, under way since a 2024 groundbreaking, is replacing the airport's 1966 terminal.

With its location along I-40 and Route 66, the airport provides convenient access for visitors heading to local attractions, hotels, and business destinations in western Oklahoma. While it does not offer scheduled airline service, it serves as an important aviation gateway for general aviation and regional business travel.
