Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport is the main airport serving Luanda and Angola, functioning as the hub for national carrier TAAG Angola Airlines. Opened on 10 November 2023, it replaced the older Quatro de Fevereiro Airport as the capital's primary gateway.
Located in Bom Jesus, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, about 40 km southeast of central Luanda, the airport handles both domestic and international flights. Its passenger terminal is divided into three piers—two for international traffic and one for domestic and regional flights—supported by two parallel runways and a design capacity of 15 million passengers per year.
There is no direct rail link, so travellers typically continue to Luanda by taxi, ride-hailing service, pre-booked private transfer or hotel car. The journey commonly takes one to two hours depending on road traffic.
The modern terminal provides lounges, restaurants, cafés, shops, free Wi-Fi, a medical clinic, prayer rooms and accessibility services, making it a practical entry point for business and leisure visitors to Angola.
