About Dover Civil Air Terminal
Dover Civil Air Terminal is a joint civil-military airport at Dover Air Force Base, operated by the Delaware River & Bay Authority under a joint-use agreement with the U.S. Air Force. The terminal gives civilian aircraft access to Dover AFB, which is home to the 436th and 512th Airlift Wings and has the longest runways in Delaware.
Located on the north side of the base off Horsepond Road, the terminal has its own gated entrance and cannot be reached through the main base gates. It sits minutes from downtown Dover and is an FAA Part 139 certificated facility used mainly by corporate, charter, and special-event aircraft rather than scheduled passenger airlines.
