Donegal Airport serves County Donegal and the far north-west of Ireland from its coastal site at Carrickfinn. Opened in 1986 and extended in the 1990s, it is a single-terminal regional airport linking the area with Dublin and Glasgow and onward connections.
The airport is a key part of the county's transport infrastructure, providing year-round flights to Dublin under a public service obligation operated by Emerald Airlines as Aer Lingus Regional, alongside Loganair services to Glasgow. It also supports private charters, Air Corps and marine search and rescue operations.
