Donaldson Field Airport (GDC)

Donaldson Field Airport is a public general aviation airport located about six miles south of downtown Greenville, South Carolina. It sits within the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center and primarily serves corporate, private, charter, cargo, and military aviation rather than scheduled commercial airline service.

The airfield was activated in 1943 and later became part of the former Donaldson Air Force Base property, which was redeveloped into an industrial and aviation park. Today the airport is operated as a service of SCTAC and functions as one of South Carolina's largest general aviation airports, with an 8,000-foot concrete runway and a full-service fixed-base operator.

Its location south of Greenville provides convenient road access to the city centre, the Upstate's business and industrial areas, and the broader Greenville County region. Travelers typically continue by private car, rental car, taxi, or arranged chauffeur and transfer services, while scheduled airline passengers can use nearby Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.
