About Devils Lake Regional Airport

Devils Lake Regional Airport is a public-use airport serving Devils Lake and the surrounding Lake Region of northeastern North Dakota. It was dedicated in 1929, used by the U.S. military during World War II, and is now owned by the Devils Lake Airport Authority. Formerly known as Devils Lake Municipal Airport, it supports general aviation and scheduled commercial flights.

Located about 3 km (2 miles) west of downtown Devils Lake, the airport has two asphalt runways and a single passenger terminal originally built in 2005 and recently expanded. It provides daily United Express service to Denver International Airport through the Essential Air Service program, connecting the community to the wider airline network.

The airport serves business and leisure travelers visiting Devils Lake for fishing, waterfowl hunting and other outdoor recreation, and supports nearby Camp Grafton and Lake Region State College. General aviation activity includes flight training, aerial application, cargo and medical-related travel.

The terminal is a short drive from the city centre along Highway 19 West, with taxis, rental cars and pre-arranged transfers available for onward travel. Recent terminal improvements added a baggage carousel, expanded TSA screening, a larger waiting area and additional passenger amenities.
