About Denver International Airport
Denver International Airport is the main international airport serving Denver, Colorado, and the broader Rocky Mountain region. Opened in 1995, it replaced the former Stapleton International Airport and has grown into a major hub for domestic and international travel.
Located about 25 miles northeast of downtown Denver, the airport operates through the Jeppesen Terminal and three airside concourses, A, B and C, connected by an automated people mover. United Airlines maintains its largest hub at DEN, while Southwest and Frontier also have significant operations there.
The airport is connected to central Denver by the RTD A Line commuter rail, which reaches Denver Union Station in about 37 minutes. Road access is provided by Peña Boulevard, with taxis, ride-share services, rental cars, buses and private transfers also available.
