Dawson Community Airport is the main public-use airport serving Glendive and Dawson County in eastern Montana. It provides regional air connections through Essential Air Service flights operated by Cape Air, linking the area to Billings Logan International Airport and the wider national network.
Opened around 1970, the airport replaced an earlier facility on the east side of the Yellowstone River near Interstate 94. It is county-owned and features two asphalt runways, with a single small passenger terminal handling scheduled and general aviation traffic.
The airport is located about four to five miles northwest of Glendive and is directly accessible from Interstate 94 and Airport Road. By car, the journey between the airport and central Glendive typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes under normal road conditions.
