David the Builder Kutaisi International Airport is one of Georgia's three international airports and serves Kutaisi, the Imereti region and western Georgia. The airport originally opened in 2012, and an expanded terminal section was completed and opened in June 2021, when the old and new terminal areas were merged into a single passenger complex.
Located approximately 14 km west of central Kutaisi near the village of Kopitnari, the airport is a key entry point for travellers continuing to Kutaisi, Batumi, the Black Sea coast and Georgia's mountain areas. It is used mainly for international low-cost flights, with a compact terminal designed for efficient arrivals and departures.
The airport is connected by scheduled buses to Kutaisi, Tbilisi and Batumi, with taxis, private transfers, rental cars and road links also available.
