About Daet Airport
Daet Airport, also known as Bagasbas Airport, is the only airport in Camarines Norte and serves the town of Daet and surrounding municipalities in the Bicol Region. It is a small domestic community airport located in Barangay Bagasbas, close to the coast and a short drive from the provincial capital.
The airport has a single asphalt runway of about 1,150 metres, suitable for light aircraft and small domestic operations. Scheduled commercial service has been limited in recent years, with the airport mainly handling general aviation and occasional regional flights; a government rehabilitation programme announced in 2024 includes work on the passenger terminal, taxiway, runway and perimeter fencing.
Located roughly 5 km from central Daet, the airport is near Bagasbas Beach, a popular surfing spot. Travellers can reach the town by tricycle, taxi or pre-arranged private transfer, with road connections to other parts of Camarines Norte.
Facilities remain modest, so the airport functions mainly as a local gateway and feeder airport rather than a large commercial hub. Passengers using it should plan ahead for limited services and cash payments.
