Cupica Airport (BHF)

Cupica Airport is a small regional airport serving the Cupica area and the northern part of Solano Bay on Colombia's Pacific coast in Chocó Department. It lies within the municipality of Bahía Solano and provides an important air link for a coastal region where road access is limited.

The airport has a single runway that runs parallel to the shoreline of the bay and a compact terminal building. It mainly handles domestic regional flights connecting coastal communities with larger cities in Colombia, and it also supports passenger, cargo and emergency transport.

Because overland routes are scarce, travel between the airport, Cupica and the municipal centre of Bahía Solano is usually made by boat or organized road transport where available. Bahía Solano, also known as Ciudad Mutis, is located roughly 40 km to the south and is the main urban centre for the area.

Facilities at the airport are basic but suitable for a small regional hub. Visitors arriving here can continue to Bahía Solano and nearby Pacific coast destinations for nature tourism, whale watching and travel through one of Colombia's most remote coastal regions.
