About Creston Municipal Airport
Creston Municipal Airport (CSQ) is a city-owned public-use airport serving Creston and Union County in southwest Iowa. Activated in December 1958, it primarily supports general aviation, including private, corporate and recreational flying, rather than scheduled airline service.
The airport covers roughly 275 acres south of Creston and operates two runways: a paved runway 16/34 of about 4,910 feet and a grass runway 4/22 of about 1,675 feet. It is managed and maintained by West Aviation Inc. under contract with the City of Creston, with Jet A and 100LL aviation fuel available around the clock.
Located about 3 miles (5 km) from central Creston, the airport is reached by road via Cherry Street Road and provides pilots with an FBO, pilot and passenger lounges, hangars, tiedowns and a courtesy car. It has no control tower; pilots use the local CTAF and UNICOM frequency, and AWOS weather reporting is available on site.
With its role as a regional general aviation hub for southwest Iowa, Creston Municipal Airport supports local businesses, agricultural operations, emergency services and recreational pilots traveling to and from the area.
