About Concord Municipal Airport
Concord Municipal Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving Concord, New Hampshire, and the central part of the state. The 614-acre facility is located about two miles (three kilometers) east of downtown Concord and was activated in 1947. The airport has two asphalt runways, 6,005 feet and 3,200 feet long, and primarily supports private, corporate, state and military aviation. Scheduled airline service ended by 1980, and nearby Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, about 20 miles south, now handles most commercial flights in the region. Concord Aviation Services operates as the airport's fixed-base operator, providing fueling, aircraft services, a passenger terminal and lounge, and ground support. The airport also has a Hertz car rental facility and hangars used by the New Hampshire Army National Guard and New Hampshire State Police. Travelers reach the airport by road from Airport Road and nearby Route 9 and Interstate 393, with taxis, private transfers and rental cars available for connections to downtown Concord, state government offices and surrounding destinations.
