Cincinnati Municipal Airport Lunken Field (LUK)

Cincinnati Municipal Airport Lunken Field is a general aviation airport owned by the City of Cincinnati and located on the east side of the city along the Ohio River. Often called Lunken Field, it serves private, charter, business and recreational aviation and provides a convenient alternative for travelers flying closer to downtown Cincinnati than the region's main commercial airport.

The airport has a long history in Cincinnati aviation. Its Art Deco terminal building was completed in the 1930s and served scheduled airline flights until the late 1940s, when larger aircraft and Ohio River flooding shifted commercial service to what became Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Today the historic terminal is being redeveloped, and the field remains an active general aviation center with several runways and multiple fixed-base operators.

Located about three miles east of downtown Cincinnati, Lunken Field is easily reached by car along Columbia Parkway and local roads. The airport is well suited to private flights, business travel and charter operations, with on-site customs processing for international arrivals.
