About Chos Malal Airport
Serving the town of Chos Malal in northern Neuquén Province, Argentina, Chos Malal Airport is a public-use regional airport located about 9 km south-southeast of the town centre. It carries the IATA code HOS and the ICAO code SAHC.
The airport provides regional air connectivity rather than functioning as a major scheduled hub. It was reopened in August 2024 after reconstruction of its 1,500 m runway and repairs to the terminal building, allowing aircraft of up to about 50 passengers as well as sanitary, security and private flights.
All passenger handling takes place in a single terminal. The facility is intended to improve access to northern Neuquén and to support tourism, health and security operations across the region.
Road access connects the airport with Chos Malal and nearby areas, with short driving times to the town centre. From Chos Malal, travellers can continue toward destinations in the Alto Neuquén, including the Domuyo and Tromen areas.
