Cherokee County Airport (JKV) is a county-owned, public-use airport serving Jacksonville and the wider Cherokee County area in East Texas. Located about 11 km (7 miles) southeast of Jacksonville's central business district, the airport primarily supports general aviation, private flights and charter operations.
The airport opened in June 1964 and operates a single asphalt runway, designated 14/32, measuring 5,006 ft by 75 ft (1,526 m by 23 m). It has no control tower, and arriving and departing pilots coordinate via the common traffic advisory frequency.
Fixed-base operators at the field provide fuel, aircraft parking and support services for private and business aviation. JKV is not a designated international port of entry and has no commercial airline passenger terminal.
