About Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport
Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, also known as Lovell Field, is the primary commercial airport serving Chattanooga and the surrounding Southeast Tennessee region. Opened in 1930, it has grown from a local airfield into a regional gateway offering nonstop flights to major hubs and connections across the country.
Located about five miles east of downtown Chattanooga, the airport operates a single passenger terminal with a modern concourse. A recent terminal expansion added new gates and jet bridges, enlarged the security checkpoint, and improved post-security dining and retail space for a more comfortable journey.
Travelers can continue from the airport by rental car, taxi, ride-hailing, limousine, private transfer or CARTA bus service. Its position near major road connections makes onward travel to downtown, Lookout Mountain, Hamilton Place and other parts of the Tennessee Valley straightforward.
With a compact layout, restaurants, a gift shop, Wi-Fi, charging points and accessible facilities, CHA provides a convenient and efficient experience for both business and leisure travelers.
