Charleston International Airport is the main commercial airport serving Charleston and South Carolina's Lowcountry. Located in North Charleston, it operates as a joint civil-military airport alongside the adjacent Joint Base Charleston and connects the region to destinations across the United States, with limited international service.
The current passenger terminal opened in 1985 and has since been expanded and renovated. It has a single terminal with two post-security concourses, Concourse A and Concourse B, served primarily by Delta Air Lines and other major carriers respectively, with around 15 gates.
