Cecil Airport (VQQ) is a public-use general aviation airport and FAA-licensed spaceport in southwest Jacksonville, Florida, about 15 miles west of downtown. The site opened as a public-use facility in 1999 after previously serving as Naval Air Station Cecil Field.
Cecil does not handle scheduled commercial passenger flights. Its operations focus on general aviation, corporate aircraft, air cargo, military and National Guard activity, and aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul. The airfield has four runways, including one 12,500-foot runway and three 8,000-foot runways.
Facilities include a general aviation terminal and the Million Air Jacksonville-Cecil fixed-base operator, along with hangars, aprons and maintenance facilities. The airport sits near Interstate 10 with connections to I-95 and I-75, placing Jacksonville's business areas and northeast Florida destinations within convenient driving reach.
