Cattaraugus County-Olean Municipal Airport is a city-owned, public-use general aviation airport serving Olean and Cattaraugus County in western New York. It opened in December 1958 and sits at about 2,135 feet above sea level, making it the highest-elevation airport in New York State.
The airport is located about 10 nautical miles (19 km) north of downtown Olean in the Town of Ischua. It supports private and corporate aviation, flight training and emergency services such as Mercy Flight, and it functions as a general aviation gateway to the Southern Tier region rather than a scheduled commercial airline hub.
The airfield includes a 4,800-foot paved runway (04/22) and a 2,117-foot grass crosswind runway (16/34), along with hangars, tiedowns and self-service fuel. The terminal provides a pilot lounge, kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi and a passenger waiting area for arriving and departing travelers.
Road access is via Route 16 North, and the drive from central Olean typically takes about 20 minutes, with connections also possible to nearby communities such as Salamanca, Bradford and Jamestown. Its facilities make it a practical entry point for general aviation travel across the region.
