Catarman National Airport (CRM)

Catarman National Airport is the main airport serving Catarman and the province of Northern Samar on the island of Samar in the Philippines. It connects the province by air to key domestic hubs, with scheduled flights to Manila and Cebu. In 2021 the airport completed a major upgrade that expanded the passenger terminal building and increased its capacity from around 50 to 150 passengers at a time, or about 50,000 passengers annually. The single passenger terminal handles domestic arrivals and departures, and the 1,600-metre runway can accommodate turboprop aircraft. The airport is located a short distance north of central Catarman, about 6 kilometres from the town centre. Travellers can continue by taxi, tricycle, private transfer, chauffeur service or rental car to hotels and destinations across Northern Samar. With basic passenger facilities, a departure lounge, check-in and baggage areas, the airport serves as a practical regional gateway for domestic travel and onward journeys across Samar and nearby provinces.
