Casa Grande Municipal Airport (CGZ)

Casa Grande Municipal Airport is a city-owned public-use general aviation airport serving Casa Grande and Pinal County in south-central Arizona. Originally developed as Williams Auxiliary Field #4 during World War II, the airport has grown into a modern facility supporting private, corporate, and general aviation traffic rather than scheduled airline service.

The airport sits about 6 miles north of downtown Casa Grande, just southwest of Interstate 10 and west of Arizona Highway 387. It operates a single asphalt runway, 05/23, measuring 5,200 feet by 100 feet, with an ILS approach to Runway 5 and GPS approach capability. The 4,800-square-foot terminal, completed in 2001, houses offices, restrooms, a pilot briefing and flight planning area, a Pilot's Lounge, and a fuel service desk.

The airport offers self-service and full-service fueling for 100LL Avgas and Jet A, along with T-hangars, shade hangars, and aircraft tiedowns. Two general aviation maintenance businesses operate on the airfield, and the airport does not charge landing fees.

Ground transportation from CGZ is typically arranged by private transfer, rental car, chauffeur, or rideshare, with local taxi, Lyft, and Uber options available in the area. Its location between Phoenix and Tucson makes it a convenient general aviation entry point for business and leisure travel in central Arizona.
