La Romana International Airport, also known as Casa de Campo International Airport, serves La Romana and the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Inaugurated on December 14, 2000, it opened as a convenient gateway for travelers visiting Casa de Campo Resort, Bayahibe and other eastern resort areas.
Located on the southeastern coast about 7 km from central La Romana and roughly 109 km east of Santo Domingo, the airport connects travelers to La Romana, Bayahibe, Juan Dolio, Boca Chica and the Punta Cana area. Its single-runway operation includes a commercial terminal with four gates and a separate general aviation terminal for private flights, operating 24 hours a day.
The airport's sugar-mill-inspired terminal design reflects the region's heritage, while its facilities include duty-free shopping, dining, a VIP lounge and an outdoor terrace. Passengers can continue by taxi, rental car or private transfer to Casa de Campo, Bayahibe and other nearby destinations.
