About Canandaigua Airport
Canandaigua Airport is a public-use general aviation airport in Ontario County, New York, serving the Finger Lakes region. Owned by the Ontario County Industrial Development Agency, the airport has operated since April 1948 and supports private, corporate, charter and medical flights.
Located about three miles northwest of downtown Canandaigua, the airport sits near the north end of Canandaigua Lake on roughly 296 acres of land. It features a single 5,500-foot asphalt runway, 13/31, and an FBO operated by VAS Operations, with no commercial passenger terminal or control tower.
Pilots and passengers are served through the FBO, which offers fuel, aircraft parking, a pilot lounge, free Wi-Fi, a courtesy car, rental car arrangements, ground power, de-icing and catering assistance. The airfield is attended daily and after-hours service is available by calling the FBO.
The airport's location makes it convenient for reaching Canandaigua, the Finger Lakes wine region and nearby communities. Downtown Rochester is roughly a 30-minute drive, while Victor is about 15 minutes away, giving visitors flexible road access to business and leisure destinations across the region.
