About Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport
Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport is a county-owned, public-use general aviation airport serving Cambridge, Dorchester County and Maryland's Eastern Shore. It supports private, business and charter aviation rather than scheduled airline service.
Located about 3 nautical miles (6 km) southeast of central Cambridge, the airport covers roughly 555 acres and operates a single asphalt runway, 16/34, measuring 4,477 feet. This makes it suitable for a range of light and general aviation aircraft.
The airport functions as a convenient gateway for pilots and travelers visiting Cambridge, the Chesapeake Bay area and nearby Eastern Shore communities. Its terminal and FBO provide fuel and ground services, while road access connects the field to Cambridge and regional routes such as US-50.
For arriving travelers, onward travel typically relies on private cars, taxis, rental vehicles or pre-arranged ground transportation, since the airport is compact and primarily focused on general aviation.
