About Bromont Roland Désourdy Airport
Roland-Désourdy Airport is a regional general aviation airport serving Bromont and the Eastern Townships region of Quebec. Formerly known as Eastern Townships Regional Airport or simply Bromont Airport, it supports business aviation, private flights, flight training and recreational flying rather than scheduled airline services.
The airport lies about 6 km west-southwest of central Bromont, close to the Mont-Bromont ski area and the Bromont Science Park. It is managed by the Régie Aéroportuaire Régionale des Cantons de l'Est and remains jointly owned by the towns of Bromont, Cowansville and Granby.
Its single runway measures approximately 1,525 m and can accommodate aircraft up to the size of the Airbus A220 and Dash 8-400, along with corporate jets. A complete runway reconstruction completed in 2025 added new taxiways to improve ground operations and safety.
The airport is about 45 minutes by road from Montreal, with access via nearby highways, making it convenient for business and leisure travel across the Eastern Townships and onward to Montreal and the Montreal airports.
