Bremerton National Airport (PWT)

Bremerton National Airport is a public-use general aviation airport owned by the Port of Bremerton and located about 7 miles southwest of downtown Bremerton in Kitsap County, Washington. It is the largest airport on the Kitsap Peninsula and primarily serves general, corporate, and business aviation, along with flight training and emergency service support.

Aviation activity at the site dates to the 1930s, when the airfield was established as a small airstrip, and ownership later transferred to the Port of Bremerton in 1963. Today the airport features a 6,000-foot asphalt runway with instrument approaches that can accommodate a range of general aviation and jet aircraft.

The airport has no scheduled airline passenger terminal; its operational center is the Avian Flight Center FBO, which provides fueling, flight instruction, aircraft rental, pilot services, and maintenance. A 24/7 pilot lounge with Wi-Fi and refreshments and an on-site restaurant serve crews and visitors, while hangar and tie-down parking accommodate based and transient aircraft.

Road access via State Route 3 and local routes connects the airport to Bremerton, Port Orchard, Silverdale, and the surrounding Kitsap Peninsula, and ferry connections in Bremerton link the area to Seattle. These options make the airport a convenient entry point for private and business aviation in the Puget Sound region.
