About Bradley International Airport
Bradley International Airport is the main airport serving Hartford, central Connecticut, and parts of western Massachusetts, and is the second-busiest airport in New England. The airport opened as a military airfield in 1941 and was named Bradley Field in honor of Lieutenant Eugene M. Bradley before later developing into a civilian international airport.
Located in Windsor Locks, about 20 km north of downtown Hartford, the airport also serves nearby Springfield, Massachusetts, and the Connecticut River Valley. It provides domestic and international connections for both leisure and business travelers across the region.
The airport's passenger operations are centered on Terminal A, which is divided into the East Concourse and West Concourse. Terminal B is used for international arrivals and U.S. Customs processing, while pre-cleared flights from Dublin and Toronto arrive directly at Terminal A.
