About Bradford Regional Airport

Bradford Regional Airport is a public-use airport serving Bradford, McKean County, and the surrounding communities of northwestern Pennsylvania. Originally built as an emergency landing field during World War II, the airport began passenger service in 1948 and opened its terminal on July 1, 1949, with United Air Lines providing the first commercial flights.

Today the airport operates from a single passenger terminal and two asphalt runways: the 6,300-foot primary runway 14/32 and the 4,500-foot crosswind runway 5/23. Scheduled commercial service is provided by Southern Airways Express, with daily flights to Pittsburgh International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, while the airport also supports general aviation, charter, and business traffic.

Located off PA Route 59 and US Route 219 near Lewis Run, the airport is roughly 11 miles south of downtown Bradford and convenient to Olean, New York, and the Allegheny National Forest. Travelers can continue by rental car, private transfer, or pre-arranged ground transportation.

Passengers can use the terminal's waiting lounge, on-site restaurant, and car rental desk, with check-in and TSA screening in the single terminal building. The airport serves as a practical regional gateway for travelers connecting through Pittsburgh and Washington Dulles.
