About Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is the busiest passenger airport in Montana and the main air gateway to Bozeman, the Gallatin Valley and Southwest Montana. Opened in 1941 as Gallatin Field, the airport was renamed in 2011 to reflect its role in serving Yellowstone National Park and nearby destinations.
The airport is located in Belgrade, Montana, about 13 km (8 miles) northwest of downtown Bozeman. It operates from a single terminal with two departure concourses, Concourse A and Concourse B, alongside ticketing, security screening, baggage claim and ground transportation areas.
BZN handles a mix of domestic routes and is especially busy during the winter ski season and the summer months when visitors travel to Yellowstone National Park. A U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility supports international arrivals at the airport.
