About Bolaang Mongondow Airport
Bolaang Mongondow Airport is a small domestic airport serving Bolaang Mongondow Regency and the wider Bolaang Mongondow Raya area of North Sulawesi. It is also known as Raja Loloda Mokoagow Airport, named after a former king of the Kingdom of Bolaang Mongondow.
The airport opened to commercial flights in February 2024 and was formally inaugurated in March 2024. It has a single passenger terminal and a 1,600-metre asphalt runway capable of handling aircraft such as the ATR 72.
The airport is located in Lalow, in Lolak district, close to the Trans-Sulawesi road. Kotamobagu, the main city of the region, is around 54 km away and is normally reached by car in roughly one hour and fifteen minutes, with taxis and private transfers available for the journey.
Domestic flights connect the airport with destinations including Manado and Gorontalo, making it a useful gateway for travel across North Sulawesi and neighboring areas.
