About Blackbushe Airport
Blackbushe Airport is a general aviation airfield in Yateley, on the Hampshire–Surrey border near Camberley. Opened in 1942 as RAF Hartford Bridge, it later served as a London-area airport in the 1950s before reopening in 1962 as a private general aviation field.
Today the airport focuses on business, private and training aviation, with a single asphalt runway (07/25) and a compact terminal building. It is home to flying schools, helicopter training, charter operators and the Aerobility charity, which supports disabled people learning to fly.
Located about two miles from junction 4A of the M3, Blackbushe is roughly a 45-minute drive from central London. Fleet and Farnborough Main stations on the London Waterloo line, and Blackwater station on the Reading–Guildford line, provide rail access with short taxi connections.
