Bintulu Airport is the main airport serving Bintulu, a coastal town in the state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. The current airport opened in 2002, replacing the original town-centre airfield that had operated since 1955, and now serves as the air gateway for the town and the surrounding industrial and coastal region.
The airport has a single passenger terminal and a 2,200-metre runway. It handles domestic services operated by airlines such as AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, and MASwings, with regular connections to Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Miri, and Sibu.
Located about 23 km by road southwest of the town centre, the airport is reached mainly by taxi, car rental, and private transfer, with the journey into Bintulu taking roughly half an hour depending on traffic.
