Bicycle Lake Army Airfield is the military airfield serving Fort Irwin and the National Training Center in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California. It sits on the Bicycle dry lake bed about 5 km northeast of the Fort Irwin cantonment area and roughly 56 km northeast of Barstow.
The airfield supports military and government aviation rather than scheduled passenger service. It has two gravel runways, with the main runway approximately 2,936 meters long, and an elevation of about 716 meters. Operations are coordinated through the Bicycle Lake Operations building, which houses range control, airfield operations and flight planning.
Access is restricted because the airfield lies within the Fort Irwin National Training Center, and arrivals require prior permission. There is no public terminal, commercial check-in, baggage claim or customs area.
Road access is via Fort Irwin Road, which connects the installation to Interstate 15 and Barstow. Because the airfield has no public transport link, onward travel is typically arranged in advance for authorized personnel.
