About Beverly Regional Airport
Beverly Regional Airport is a city-owned, public-use general aviation airport serving Beverly, the North Shore, and the Greater Boston area. The airfield dates to 1928, when it was built through the efforts of the Beverly Aero Club and the Beverly Chamber of Commerce. The U.S. Navy operated it during World War II before it returned to the City of Beverly in 1950, and it was renamed from Beverly Municipal Airport to Beverly Regional Airport in 2015.
The airport operates two asphalt runways and is home to a full-service fixed-base operator, two flight schools, an aircraft maintenance shop, a Civil Air Patrol base, and aircraft storage. It primarily serves private, corporate, and general aviation traffic rather than scheduled commercial airlines, providing a convenient alternative to Boston Logan for regional air travel.
Located just over 20 miles from Boston and close to Route 128, the airport offers easy access to Greater Boston, Salem, Gloucester, and other North Shore communities. The east side in Beverly and the west side in Danvers are connected by local roads, with private transfers, rental cars, and taxis available for onward travel.
Travelers and crews use FBO terminal facilities with lounges, restrooms, Wi-Fi, and refreshments, along with fueling, maintenance, and hangar services. A public viewing area at the administration building and the airport's role in regional business and emergency services make it an important part of Massachusetts' transportation network.
