About Berlevåg Airport
Berlevåg Airport is a small regional airport serving Berlevåg Municipality in Finnmark county, northern Norway. Owned and operated by Avinor, it connects the coastal village of Berlevåg with other communities in Finnmark through Widerøe flights.
The airport opened as a civilian regional airport on 1 August 1974, although the site has a longer history dating back to wartime construction that began in 1943. The current terminal building dates from 1988, and Widerøe has operated the route since 1974, today using Dash 8 aircraft.
Located about three kilometres northwest of central Berlevåg, the airport is reached by car or taxi in around five to ten minutes. It has a single terminal and an 880-metre asphalt runway, with free parking available for travelers.
Although facilities at the airport itself are modest, it provides an important air link for the region. Restaurants, shops and accommodation are found in Berlevåg village, and onward travel from the airport is simple by taxi or private vehicle.
