Beersheba (Teyman) Airport is a small airfield serving Beersheba, the largest city in the Negev and the capital of Israel's Southern District. Today it is used mainly for general aviation, flight training, gliding and skydiving rather than scheduled commercial flights.
The airfield was built in the early 1940s during the British Mandate period and later served Israeli Air Force operations before being converted to civilian use in the 1960s. In the late 1950s and 1960s, Arkia briefly operated flights between Beersheba and Eilat, but scheduled commercial services were later discontinued.
