Bardufoss Airport (BDU)

Bardufoss Airport serves the Målselv region and central Troms in northern Norway and is the civilian part of Bardufoss Air Station, shared with the Royal Norwegian Air Force and operated by Avinor. It mainly provides domestic connections to Oslo, linking the inland part of Troms county with the national capital. The air station was completed in 1938 and has been used by the military ever since, while civilian operations began in 1956. A new passenger terminal opened in 2004, giving the airport a compact and practical layout for scheduled flights. The airport is located at Bardufoss in Målselv Municipality, along European route E6 and about 130 km by road south of Tromsø. Passengers can continue by taxi, bus, private transfer or rental car toward Tromsø, Finnsnes, Senja and other parts of northern Norway. Inside the single terminal, travellers find a café, a small kiosk, Wi-Fi, car rental and parking, making the airport a convenient starting point for journeys in the Bardufoss and Målselv area.
