Coronel FAP Alfredo Mendívil Duarte Airport serves the city of Ayacucho in south-central Peru and is the main air terminal for the Ayacucho region. Opened in 1960, the airport has been administered by Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú since it was concessioned in 2011.
Located about 2 km from the city centre, the airport operates from a single passenger terminal and a 2,800-metre asphalt runway at approximately 2,718 metres above sea level. Regular commercial flights are operated by LATAM and Sky Airline, primarily connecting Ayacucho with Lima.
In 2026, Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications declared the airport international, opening the way for immigration, customs and sanitary control services and supporting future connections beyond domestic routes.
