About Adirondack Regional Airport
Adirondack Regional Airport is a public-use airport serving Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Tupper Lake and the surrounding Adirondack region of northern New York. Established in 1942 and operated since 1960 by the Town of Harrietstown, it provides the only commercial airline service and the longest runway within Adirondack Park.
Located about 8 km (5 miles) northwest of Saranac Lake in the Town of Harrietstown, the airport offers daily Cape Air flights to Boston Logan and New York JFK, along with charter services and a full-service FBO for private aircraft. Its facilities include a single passenger terminal, TSA screening, parking, rental cars and an on-site café.
The airport is reached primarily by car or taxi, with rental cars available on site and nearby, making it a practical gateway for visitors heading to Lake Placid, Tupper Lake, the High Peaks and other Adirondack destinations.
