Located about four miles west of downtown Elizabethtown, the airport provides a convenient access point for pilots and travelers visiting the city, Fort Knox and the surrounding region. Its single asphalt runway, 5/23, measures 6,001 by 100 feet and accommodates a range of general aviation aircraft.
The airport is managed by the Elizabethtown Airport Board, with Elizabethtown Flying Service operating as the on-site fixed-base operator. Services include 100LL and Jet-A fueling, hangar and tiedown parking, aircraft maintenance, and a pilot lounge.
