About Valence-Chabeuil Airport
Valence-Chabeuil Airport is a general and business aviation airport serving Valence and the Drôme–Ardèche area in southeastern France. It is located in the commune of Chabeuil, just east of Valence, and primarily handles private, business, aerial work, military and leisure flights rather than scheduled commercial services.
The airfield dates from the 1930s, when it was established as a French Air Force base. A concrete runway was added in 1970 and extended to 2,100 metres in 1972, and the modern terminal was inaugurated in 1982. Today the airport operates three runways and is open to international traffic.
Located about 8 km from Valence city centre, the airport is around 15 minutes by road from the city and about 10 minutes from Valence TGV station. It has a free car park for around 200 vehicles, while taxis and pre-arranged private transfers connect it to Valence, Romans-sur-Isère and other destinations in the Rhône Valley.
The refurbished terminal provides a departure lounge, business lounge, meeting and conference rooms, a bar, catering and free Wi-Fi, along with ground handling, refuelling and concierge services. These facilities make it a practical entry point for business aviation and private travel in the Drôme and Ardèche.
