Angoulême–Cognac International Airport is a regional gateway serving Angoulême and the Charente department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, western France. Located about 15 km northeast of central Angoulême, in the commune of Champniers between Brie and Champniers, it supports leisure and business travel with seasonal services to destinations in southern Europe and the Mediterranean.
Aviation in Angoulême dates back to 1924 with the Bel-Air aerodrome. The current airport opened in 1983 and has been managed by SNC-Lavalin since 2012. It features a single passenger terminal, two runways and free on-site parking.
