Tulita Airport is a small regional airport serving Tulita, a Dene and Metis community in the Sahtu region of the Northwest Territories. Located at the confluence of the Great Bear and Mackenzie rivers, the town was historically known as Fort Norman, and the airport remains a vital air link for residents, business travel and essential services.
The airport sits adjacent to the community, within about one kilometre of the centre, making the journey between the terminal and town quick and straightforward. It operates a single gravel runway of about 1,199 metres and a compact passenger terminal designed for regional aircraft. Normal operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, with medevac flights handled outside those hours when needed.
